Marcia Nasatir was born on May 8, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
She began her career as a literary agent and represented Robert Towne among many other prominent writers. She was the first female vice-president of production at United Artists and known for projects including RAGING BULL, VERTICAL LIMIT, THE THIN RED LINE, AMADEUS AND THE BIG CHILL. She died on August 3, 2021 in Woodland Hills, California, USA.
Marcia was one half of the movie critic duo "Reel Geezers" on YouTube with longtime friend (and writer) Lorenzo Semple Jr. who provided pithy critiques of recent films primarily on Youtube and gained an international cult following. They were old friends, and were first introduced in the 1960s by late New Yorker critic Pauline Kael.
